Millerton is seeing bass shift slightly out of the main lake's deeper water and into shallower depths up the northeast arm. Dropshotting is still your best bet, but some anglers are also catching fish on small crankbaits and rooster tails. The heat and boat traffic are still an issue, but conditions should only improve as fall kicks in.
Bass are finally starting to get active and move shallow at Millerton. Spotted bass have been most aggressive, but largemouth are also heating up as they move into late pre-spawn and bedding behaviors.
