Lake Mendocino Fishing Report

Water levels are low as usual for this time of year, with temps in the low to mid-70s. Bait is cruising the shallows. Cover is limited, so bass are sticking to points, drop-offs, or any cover they can find. Clarity is good.

Lots of nice cats at lake Mendocino last weekend. They were biting on raw prawns and night crawlers .

Bass and catfish action was solid over the weekend. Plenty of bait along the shorelines, and fish jumping all morning. Water clarity was good until the boats and wind hit in the afternoon. Soft plastic worms were best for bass, but mostly dinkers.
