View how FishCaddy handles report and catch sharing and privacy
We take the privacy of our members' fishing reports very seriously at FishCaddy. Below, you'll find a detailed explanation of each Fishing Report privacy option, helping you understand exactly what is and isn't shared.
IMPORTANT: We at FishCaddy reserve the right to monitor and remove any fishing report from public view and/or from the site if it doesn’t meet standards, violates community guidelines, or for any reason deemed by FishCaddy.
Report Privacy Options
Public:
Public reports are shared with everyone. However, to preserve smaller water bodies and ensure high-quality reports for our users, FishCaddy reviews all public reports. If a report violates community guidelines, doesn't meet quality standards (as deemed by FishCaddy), or is detrimental to a lake/river, FishCaddy reserves the right to hide the report from public view.
Followers:
Share your report exclusively with members who follow you. Future followers will also have access to view these reports.
Select Followers:
Prefer to share your report only with close friends? 'Select Followers' allows you to choose specific users (who follow you) to share your report with. It remains private to everyone else.
Private
Completely private. Choose this option when you prefer not to share your report at all. It's ideal for maintaining a personal log of your fishing trips.
